AI-powered automation.

Applied to the repetitive, rules-based and data-heavy work that eats your week. Applied second, after the process is worth automating.

AI-powered intelligent automation at Techtonic AI means applying secure, enterprise-grade technology to repetitive, rules-based and data-heavy business processes, typically in finance and operations. Automation runs the same tasks three to five times faster than a person can, with fewer errors. We deploy it only after the underlying process has been simplified, and we build no software of our own.

What gets automated

The work that suits automation has a recognisable shape. It happens often. It follows rules that can be written down. It involves moving or checking data rather than exercising judgement. And it is currently done by a person who would rather be doing something else.

In finance that usually means invoice processing, statement reconciliation, payment runs, credit control chasing, and the assembly of recurring reports. In operations it means order entry, document handling, data transfer between systems that were never designed to speak to each other, and the endless re-keying that fills the gaps between them.

What does not get automated

Judgement does not automate well, and neither does anything genuinely exceptional. A process where every case is different is a process where automation adds overhead rather than removing it.

More importantly, a broken process does not get automated. Automating a process that is badly designed makes a bad process run faster, and locks the bad design into software where it is harder to change than it was in a spreadsheet. This is the single most common way automation projects disappoint, and it is why our process work comes first.

How fast, and why that matters

Automation runs the same rules-based tasks three to five times faster than a person can, and without the variation that comes from doing the same repetitive thing for the four hundredth time in a week.

Speed is the headline, but accuracy is usually the more valuable outcome. An error in accounts payable does not just cost the time to fix it. It costs the time to find it, the supplier relationship strain, and the doubt it casts over everything else in the same run.

The technology, and when we reach for it

We build no software of our own, so we are not pushing a platform for the sake of it. A meaningful share of what we deploy runs on Microsoft 365 licences you already hold, and getting more from those is usually cheaper and faster than adding a subscription.

Where a dedicated automation platform is genuinely the right answer, we use UiPath, a market leader in intelligent automation. We deploy it, hand it over and make sure your team can run it. Barry is UiPath-certified, and both founders have delivered automation at enterprise scale before bringing it to SMEs. We reach for it only after the process work is done, and only when process improvement on its own will not deliver the result.

Security and control

Automation touches systems and data, so scope and permissions are agreed in writing before anything is connected. Access is limited to the systems the automation genuinely needs, for the duration it needs them.

Everything we build is documented and handed over. You should not need us in order to keep running, and an automation nobody in your business understands is a new key-person dependency rather than a solution to one.

What you get

A working automation covering an agreed process, documented and handed over to your team, with before-and-after measurement against the baseline established during the process work.

Where automation is recommended alongside process optimisation, a first engagement typically runs four to eight weeks for a defined process.

How you know it worked

We agree what is being measured before anything is built, using your numbers rather than ours. Hours returned, error rate, cycle time, cost per transaction, whatever the process is genuinely judged on inside your business.

The baseline comes from the process work, which is another reason it comes first. Without a measured starting point, any claim about improvement afterwards is an assertion. We do not measure success by robots deployed or licences sold.
