Who we are
Techtonic AI Limited is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are a process improvement and automation consultancy registered in Ireland under company number 791206, based at 24 O'Connell Street, Waterford, X91 A891.
If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your information, contact us at hello@techtonicai.ie.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. If you complete the discovery session form on our website, we collect:
- Your name, so we know who we are speaking to
- Your work email address, so we can reply
- Your company name, so we can prepare properly for the conversation
- Anything you write in the message field, such as a description of the process you want to discuss
We do not use advertising tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors. See Cookies and similar technologies below for what we do use.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis under GDPR |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and arranging a discovery session | Article 6(1)(b), taking steps at your request before entering into a contract |
| Keeping a record of business enquiries and correspondence | Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in managing our own business records |
We will not add you to a marketing list or send you unrelated material on the basis of a discovery enquiry. If we ever want to do that, we will ask you first.
Who else sees it
We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the small piece of software that receives your form submission and passes it to our mailbox. Your submission is not stored on Cloudflare's systems and is not shared with any other party. Cloudflare acts as our processor under its standard data protection terms.
Google Fonts
Our website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. This means your browser makes a request to Google servers, and your IP address is visible to Google as part of that request. We do not receive or store that information.
Microsoft 365
Enquiries are received and stored in a Microsoft 365 mailbox. Microsoft acts as our processor for that mail service under its standard data protection terms.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where we are required to by law.
Cookies and similar technologies
We set no cookies of our own. This website does not use local storage, session storage or any similar method of storing information on your device, and there is no advertising, retargeting or social media tracking on any page. That is why you are not asked to accept a cookie banner: under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011, consent is required for storing or accessing information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary, and nothing here goes beyond that.
We do measure how the site is used, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records page views, the page you arrived from, your browser and operating system, page loading speed, and the country your visit came from. It does not set cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not fingerprint your browser or track you from one website to another. Your IP address is used to derive the country and is not stored. We cannot identify you from any of it, and it is not connected to anything you send us through the form.
Cloudflare also operates the network that serves this website and protects it from attack. As part of that, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie on your device, such as one used to tell automated traffic from real visitors. Cloudflare classes these as strictly necessary, so they do not require your consent, and they are not used to profile or advertise to you. Cloudflare publishes the full list in its own cookie policy.
How long we keep it
If a discovery session leads to work together, we keep your details for the duration of that engagement and for seven years afterwards, in line with Irish business record retention practice.
If it does not lead to work, we delete the enquiry within twelve months, unless you have asked us to stay in touch.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Object to processing that we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest
- Ask for your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email hello@techtonicai.ie. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us, including access controls on the accounts where enquiries are held. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send us confidential commercial information through the website form. Wait until we have agreed a secure route.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
